Originally acquired by RGH Partners in June of 2021, the site of Church & Marine Residences had received prior, seller-sought approvals for an attached townhome concept that RGH intended to construct and deliver. Unsatisfied with the layouts and with a rising housing market, RGH re-designed the project to accommodate larger units, better parking, private green spaces, and more desirable floor plans.
RGH engaged local design consultants as the site is protected by an Architectural Overlay District. The new plans were openly communicated with neighbors and other community stakeholders prior to a public hearing. This transparency and communication, which is at the core of everything we do, led to zero negative feedback during the public hearing and a unanimous approval by the City of Mobile Planning Commission.
